Landen

"Landen"

After The Bridge closed down, Kirk Richards kindly offered to continue his class out of his home. Since we don’t have a model come to his house, we bring unfinished paintings and try to finish them. This was a painting I started months ago, and the never quite knew what to do with it. We added a few touches and made it more of a painting rather than a portrait.

I’ll be working on it more during our next class, but I love the way it’s looking so far.

Teaching

During the summer, I started teaching some children’s art classes. Now that the school year has started, I only have two students and they’ve been working on a self portrait for the last few weeks.

Melanie finished hers this week, and for an 8 year old, I think it’s awesome.

Farewell

Last painting from The Bridge

A few weeks ago, The Bridge, where I was attending school, closed down. Sad day for everyone. Fortunately, we ended on a really cool pose. I didn’t get a chance to finish it, but I’ll start working on it at home and try to make it a completed painting.
